Incontinence Management

The broad HARTMANN Inco-System range makes product selection easier. It offers anatomically shaped pads and pants, each in different absorbent capacities that correspond to the four degrees of incontinence severity. Individual products are also distinguished by different colours to make practical application even easier. Yellow stands for light incontinence, green for moderate, blue for severe and violet for very severe incontinence.

Wound Management

HARTMANN has decades of experience in wound care and in addition to the wide range of classic wound care products such as gauze, absorbent and ointment dressings, also produces  hydroactive wound dressings with different physical properties, allowing a targeted effect on wounds in the respective healing phases.

Bandages & Tapes

Bandages have always been used for the therapeutic compression, support and relief of injuries. There is a particular requirement for compression bandages in the treatment of venous leg complaints and so-called "functional bandages" for postural and movement injuries and disorders, for example sprains or arthrosis.
 
Good bandaging techniques and correctly indicated materials are therefore vital to successful bandage treatment. Accordingly HARTMANN’s bandage range offers a wide choice of compression and support bandages in various materials (cotton and/or synthetic fibres) with varying elasticity (short stretch and long stretch) as well as special fabric finishes that make bandages self-adhesive or "cohesive" so that dressings do not slip.

Medical Skin Care

The skin is the biggest human organ with a surface area of around two square metres and has numerous protective functions. At the same time it is also an active metabolic organ with numerous links to the internal organs, so that internal illnesses can also be apparent on the skin’s surface.
 
With special care we can help skin stay healthy and robust. Intensive, medical skin care is indicated primarily when illness or the various ageing processes have damaged the skin’s physiological resistance and defensive abilities. As we get older it becomes increasingly difficult to feel good in our skin. This is due above all to age-related functional skin deficiencies that make it more and more sensitive to external influences. Ageing skin needs intensive care with products designed to combat and counteract these deficiencies in order to stay healthy.
 
HARTMANN has developed the Menalind care program especially for the requirements of mature skin. It offers all the necessary products to cleanse, protect and care for skin.

Operating Theatre Products

HARTMANN has always been committed to greater safety in the operating theatre. It was the first company to introduce the Telatrast woven X-ray detectable threads that enable reliable imaging of all gauze bandage materials.

Other products in the HARTMANN surgical range provide the protection against infection. All are intended for single use only.

Diagnostics

Measuring body temperature and blood pressure are two of the most frequently performed diagnostic activities. As the resulting data delivers important findings that often result in therapeutic actions, measuring devices such as thermometers and blood pressure monitors must be totally reliable. Of course this also applies to health checks carried out at home.
