The Telaprep compact sponge of absorbent cotton gauze DIN 61630-VM 24b, 24 threads/cm² with interwoven Telatrast X-ray detectable thread offers the comprehensive safety essential for the protection of the physician and patient in the operating theatre.

Telaprep is made of only one piece of gauze. As an additional precaution the Telatrast X-ray detectable thread is firmly interwoven to eliminate the risk of it or any parts of it becoming loose. Even if a forgotten sponge opened in the body under extreme conditions, easy radiological detection is always guaranteed by the compact structure of the detectable threads and the gauze fabric.

The barium sulphate content of the Telatrast thread is 60% and thus meets the requirements of modern X-ray equipment.

The Telatrast thread remains detectable, strong and flexible permanently.

Telaprep is available non sterile, in sterilisable paper bags, and sterile. In sterile presentation Telaprep is part of the Telatrast module system which adds to safety in the operating theatre with 5 practical compact sponges per package and colour- and figure-coded double check cards.
