Telasorb is a pre-washed disposable laparotomy sponge which reliably avoids the hygienic risks of recycled laparotomy sponges on a cost-efficient basis.

Telasorb is pre-washed without any detergents. This increases the spontaneous absorption capacity of the laparotomy sponge and lends it a pleasantly soft and well-rounded grip.

As X-ray detectable medium the laparotomy sponge contains a soft, firmly interwoven chip which is reliably displayable with a barium sulphate content of 60% and which meets the requirements of modern X-ray equipment.

Telasorb is made of gauze with 20 threads/cm2, in 4-ply and 6-ply and in various sizes. This wide assortment ensures a flexible and also economical use of the laparotomy sponge.
Telasorb is available non sterile, with 5 laparotomy sponges per package, and sterile. In sterile presentation Telasorb is part of the Telatrast module system which adds to safety in the operating theatre with 5 practical laparotomy sponges per package and colour- and figure-coded double check cards.
