Hydrocoll is a sterile, self adhesive absorbent
hydrocolloid wound dressing.
-A semi-permeable, waterproof, bacteria proof polyurethane
film
-Half the thickness of traditional hydrocolloid with high
capacity absorbency
-Clarity allows for wound inspection
-Plasticiser free reducing the risk of allergic reaction
-Forms a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate
-Thin, flexible and conformable
-Low profile, smooth surface, resists roll-off
-Can remain on the wound for 4-5 days
-MVTR Hydrocoll: 400 gms/sq m/24hrs
-MVTR Hydrocoll Thin: 600 gms/sq m/24hrs

Uses

Hydrocoll may be used on
-Necrotic wounds
-Lower leg ulcers
-Pressure ulcers
-Superficial and partial thickness burns
-Post operative wounds
-Granulating wounds
Hydrocoll Thin is useful for managing wounds during
epithelialisation
Contraindications:
-Wounds with high exudate
-Infected wounds
-Not for use over bone or tendon
-Full thickness burns
