PermaFoam is a polyurethane foam dressing

-Rapid vertical wicking of wound fluid away from wound bed

-Highly absorbent

-Facilitates moist wound healing by managing excess exudate while leaving sufficient moisture at wounds bed to assist with debridement and encourage the formation of granulation tissue.

-Fulfils most of the requirements of an ideal dressing

-Insulating and cushioning

-Non-stick

-Retains up to 90% of capacity under standard compression therapy

-MVTR: Permafoam 1600gms/sq m/24hrs

-MVTR: Permafoam Comfort 1000gms/sq m/24hrs

Uses

PermaFoam is indicated for use in:

-Pressure ulcers

-Leg ulcers

-Superficial abrasions

-Exudate management

Contraindications:

-Wounds extending into muscle, bone or tendon

-Partial and full thickness burns

-Permafoam Comfort is contraindicated in the treatment of infected wounds
