Description
Sorbalgon is composed of soft, textile fibres of calcium alginate.
-Forms a gel when in contact with wound exudate.
-Highly absorbent
-Excellent dry and wet integrity
-Can be used to manage cavity wounds
Uses
Sorbalgon is indicated for use in:
-Traumatic wounds
-Skin graft donor sites
-Ulcers of various aetiology
-Management of heavily exudating wounds
-Management of cavity wounds
Contraindications:
-Wounds with nil or low exudate.
