Rhena® therm

The thermoplastic synthetic casting tape that can be applied without gloves

Rhena therm is a thermoplastic casting tape made of a flexible textile fabric in combination with a thermoplastic polyester polymer (free of isocyanides/polyurethane resins). Rhena therm casting tape is activated and transformed into a mouldable state by heat (e.g. water bath) at temperatures of 65 °C plus.

Description

zum Seitenanfang

When using Rhena therm, gloves and padding material are not necessary. There is no odour emission or release of toxic chemicals.

The flexibility of the textile fabric enables a crease-free cast application. Perfect lamination between the layers is achieved by winding the heated bandage at the right temperature and moulding the finished cast.

The final cast can be removed by using suitable cast scissors or saw. It is heat-resistant up to 50 °C and 100 % water-resistant. Remoulding is possible using hot water or hair dryer.

Rhena therm can be stored at room temperature without special packaging.
